By using Prism Journal, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

Prism Journal is a self-reflection and journaling tool. It is not a substitute for professional counselling or psychiatric care, not a medical service or diagnostic tool, and not a clinical intervention. AI-generated insights are for personal self-reflection only — they do not constitute medical advice, psychological diagnosis, or clinical treatment.

1. About Prism Journal

Prism Journal is an AI-powered self-reflection journaling app operated by Vitara Wellness, a sole proprietorship owned by Jaanvi Tourani, a psychotherapist based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use Prism Journal.
• By creating an account, you confirm you are 18 or older.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3. Your Account

Account responsibility

You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact support@prismjournal.in immediately.

Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete My Account. Deletion is permanent and irreversible — all journal entries, analyses, and personal data are permanently deleted. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the app's systems.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the app's source code.
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the app.
• Use the app commercially without written permission from Vitara Wellness.

5. Payments

Digital products

All purchases provide instant access to digital features within the Prism Journal app. No physical goods are shipped.

Payment method

All payments are processed through prismjournal.in via our payment gateway — not through Apple App Store or Google Play. We accept UPI, credit/debit cards, and net banking. Current pricing is displayed on the app and at prismjournal.in at the time of purchase.

Currency

Pricing is shown in INR for users in India and USD for all other countries. Your bank may apply its own currency conversion fees for international transactions — these are your bank's charges, not ours.

Subscription billing

• Monthly subscriptions renew on your anniversary date — the same date each month you first subscribed.
• 3-month subscriptions are a single upfront payment covering 3 months of access.
• You will receive a notification 3 days before any renewal date.
• You can cancel anytime — access continues until the end of your current billing period.
• No further charges are made after cancellation.

6. Your Content

You own your journal entries. We do not claim ownership over your content. By using Prism Journal, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you. This licence ends when you delete your account.

7. AI-Generated Content

• AI insights are for self-reflection only — not professional advice of any kind.
• The AI may occasionally produce inaccurate or irrelevant insights — your judgment always takes precedence.
• We are not responsible for decisions you make based on AI-generated content.
• Your entries are processed anonymously — the AI does not know who you are.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in Prism Journal — including the design, interface, branding, lens frameworks, prompt system, and practice library — is owned by Vitara Wellness and Jaanvi Tourani. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of Prism Journal without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prism Journal, Vitara Wellness, and Jaanvi Tourani shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, any decisions made based on AI-generated content, or any reliance on Prism Journal as a substitute for professional mental health support.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India and the State of Karnataka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. We encourage you to contact support@prismjournal.in before initiating any legal proceedings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via push notification and/or email. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance. The effective date at the top reflects the last update.

Refund Policy

All purchases on Prism Journal provide instant access to digital features. No physical goods are shipped.

Our approach to refunds.

• Lens and pay-per-use credits never expire — they stay in your account until you choose to use them.
• Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled anytime. You keep full access until your billing period ends.
• 3-month subscriptions are a single payment. You keep full access for the full 3-month period.

If a technical error on our part prevented you from accessing something you paid for, contact support@prismjournal.in and we will make it right.

1. Lens Add-on

When you purchase a lens credit, it is added to your account immediately and never expires — use it today, next month, or next year. Because of lifetime validity, refunds are not offered. Accidental multiple purchases simply accumulate as credits available anytime.

2. Pay-per-use Reflect

When you purchase a Reflect session, you receive one Full Reflect credit and one lens credit, added immediately and never expiring. Because credits have lifetime validity, refunds are not offered. If you change your mind, your credits simply wait for you.

3. Monthly Subscription

Monthly subscription payments are non-refundable. However, you can cancel at any time:

• Go to Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription.
• No further charges from the moment you cancel.
• Full access continues until your billing period ends.
• Your account reverts to the free tier after the period ends.
• Any unused lens or pay-per-use credits remain in your account permanently.

Example: You subscribe on 15 January and cancel on 25 January. You keep full access until 14 February. No charge on 15 February.

4. 3-Month Subscription

3-month subscription payments are non-refundable. You receive full access for the entire 3-month period from the date of payment. Any unused credits in your account remain permanently after the period ends.

5. When We Will Make It Right

While we do not offer refunds, we will always resolve genuine technical issues:

• If a technical error on our part caused a feature to be inaccessible after purchase.
• If you were charged twice for the same purchase.
• If you did not receive what was described at the time of purchase.

In these cases, we will issue a credit, provide equivalent access, or process a refund at our discretion. Email support@prismjournal.in with your order details.
